About HealthcareWorks
In response to health care staffing shortages, HealthcareWorks is changing the way instruction, basic education and college preparation are delivered to frontline health care workers and community residents aspiring to health care careers.
Health care employers have demanded a new education model that fits the culture and practices of the organization and the health care industry. Health care supervisors and managers, community college educators, and adult education experts created and developed the The Health Care Learning Network™ (HCLN™).
HCLN™ meets social and economic needs of health care workers and their employers.
HLCN™ increases students’ knowledge of the human body, understanding of medical terminology, capacity to solve problems, and ability to read instructions and take notes, and use the math necessary to perform their jobs. They become more productive employees. Because it is web-based, HCLN™ can dramatically expand the number of people entering the field by making college preparatory coursework available to hundreds of people and giving them the knowledge and skills they need to graduate and be licensed. |
