Company Sponsor Commitment
Companies sponsoring a teacher externship agree to:
- Plan and coordinate an externship work assignment of not less than five and not more than eight weeks during the period of late June through August.
- Provide an externship description and summary of educational requirements (degree level, subject majors) of the assignment to the LIFT2 Program Director prior to the end of February. This information provides the basis for recruiting appropriate teacher candidates.
- Consider, interview, and select candidate teacher(s) by the end of the second week in May.
- Assign a mentor to engage and support the teacher throughout the externship.
- Pay a sponsorship fee depending on the duration of the externship:

$10,400 for an eight week externship |
Sponsorship Fee Due Dates
The sponsorship fee is due and payable in two stages to the Metro South/West Regional Employment Board, Inc., a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization:
